AFAIK, on the iSeries side, it's something like a minimal stack loaded for OpsConsole; but it's still essentially TCP/IP (maybe more like just TCP?). A minimal comm stack has to be active in order to 'comm' with the console over a cable, LAN, whatever. How this might interact with anything on the PC side... ?
