> From: "Buck Calabro" > One display file, 6 record formats, 16 Java classes (that get > turned into beans) and 10 Java Server Pages. It looks like WF generates 2 JSP files and nearly 3 Bean files per record format. If an average display file contains 4 record formats, then 5,000 display files would translate to nearly 100,000 Java components. Who would want 20 times the number of files to maintain? Probably nobody. So if a company adopts Webfacing, they must intend to maintain the original display file, then regenerate the Java components automatically. Avoid manually coding any changes to the JSPs and Beans directly. Avoid anything that would put the Java components out of sync with the display file DDS. You have added quite a bit to my understanding of Webfacing. Thank you. Nathan M. Andelin www.relational-data.com
