So are we saying they are $4,800 & $8,300 or $8,500 & $12,000 ?? (from response below from David Bruce it would seem the latter prices-worst announce letter "clarity" in a while!) Still a good deal, except they don't have Websphere Studio to get compilers, another $3,600! That makes the total packages $12,100 & $15,600. like buying a car - it's all in the details. See http://www-1.ibm.com/servers/eserver/iseries/hardware/mod250.htm for cpw ratings, but prices at ibm.com not updated yet. the e-bay 170's will take about as much $$ to get all that software, disk, memory, ethernet, etc going. Also 250's eligible for Partnerworld discounts. jim ----- Original Message ----- From: "Leif Svalgaard" <leif@leif.org> To: <midrange-l@midrange.com> Sent: Sunday, February 24, 2002 9:03 AM Subject: Re: New 250 better than 170's from IBM on eBay > From: Charlie Massoglia <cmassoglia@voyager.net> > > How about a brand new model 250 feature 0297 with 256MB main storage, two > 17.54 GB 10k rpm disk units, 100/10 Mbps Ethernet, OS/400 (P05), Query, SQL, > and Client Access for $4,800?
