OV is deader than a door nail at V5R1. Although I am not very familiar with the job scheduler function in OV, my understanding is that it's fairly rudimentary, which means that the base system support should replace it. If I am wrong, there is some scheduler support with dependancy requirements in TAA TOOLs (you need the latest release, and I don't have that specific info with me - call me if you need it), which is relatively inexpensive. The JS1 product that IBM ships at great expense (to you) has better scheduling capabilities (based on dependant actions), at a significantly greater cost. Buy that crap from IBM, it will make Lou's retirement bonus even bigger! We moved them to the Job Scheduler because once a year someone had to extend them to the next year's calendars. I don't think they can be set up to run indefinetly in OV. I may be wrong.
