David,

CRTDUPOBJ.

If you CRTDUPOBJ all your physical files from library LIVELIB to library
TESTLIB, and then do the same for all of your logicals, *AND* all of your
"LIVE" physical and logical files reside in the same library, then all your
logicals in TESTLIB should point to their physicals in TESTLIB. This also
assumes that the PFILE spec in your LF DDS does not qualify the file with
the library hardcoded.

If your physicals and logicals in the live environment cross multiple
libraries, then I can't help you there! (Sorry.)

Subject: Logical Files

Hi All,

What is the best way to copy logical files from one library to another, and
forcing them to be based on a different physical file?

I want to clone our live environment, but the logicals keep pointing back to
the live pf...

I know I have done this before, but I cannot remember how :(

Thanks for your assistance,
David
