I have a customer getting ready to dump an F50 that still runs the business
in favor of an iSeries. Part of the information I am trying to provide is
the difference in power consumption and cooling requirements for the 270
vs. the F50. I can't find the planning guide or any information on IBM's
web site for the F50 anymore. (small wonder since the machine is what over
10 years old!!!) Does anyone know where I might find some information?

Response:
Jim the comparison is like the power, cooling and energy required to run a
Blast furnace versus a single match burning.

Sorry for my ambiguity, but maybe I need to restate my question more
clearly: What I am looking for is the power and cooling requirements of
the F50 for the financial rewards for putting up the 270. I am aware of
the 270's properties, (one is sitting next to my desk) what I need is the
information on the F50 for comparatives.

Thanks

Jim Oberholtzer
