I would also like to congratulate John and everyone involved. It is unfortunate that eServer magazine tends to preach to the converted. How about a spread in Time Magazine and other business magazines to get some additional exposure. Hove a nice weekend everyone. ----- Original Message ----- From: <MacWheel99@aol.com> To: "AS400 & iSeries & family discussion group" <MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com> Sent: Thursday, February 14, 2002 1:29 PM Subject: Good Work by John Carr & others Latest Feb issue of eServer magazine has article pages 48-53 on John's contributions to the younger face of iSeries via COMMON, 400 School, IBM, and personal dynamics. Congratulations John. Thanks for the good work. Page 78 also has a piece on the good work by M_L & ignite 400 with respect to ENT poll of what is the best server operating system platform for deploying new mission critical data base applications. 381 respondents are the highest # votes they have ever had before in a poll 521 votes were cast 327 said IBM eserver iseries 400 was the best Dec 13 the poll first appeared on their site & immediately captured 2nd place Dec 14 this poll was mentioned on M_L & ignite 400 lists Well I think someone is doing a good job of finding these things & getting the word out. I don't think it was John in that case. Congratulations whoever.
