I was going to suggest something, but now I'm confused :)  In the
first message, you say that you want to write/append the file to the
C: drive of the PC running the script.

in the next messsage, you say that the script will reside and be run on
your AS/400.   Didn't you JUST SAY that it was running on a PC?

You further say that you'd like your AS/400 to be the FTP server...  but
then continue to say that the file resides on a different site, and that
you don't know what their equipment is...   Does that mean the file isn't
on the FTP server?  If so, how is it going to get there?  Why not have the
file go directly to the PC?

So, as you can see... I'm completely lost :(
