Pat: I think that SLIP was available at V3R2, but not PPP. I know that SLIP was available on V3r6 on the RISC side and believe that the CISC side kept up. Do a WRKTCPPTP command. If it is there you can configure SLIP. You also must be sure on the PC side that SLIP is an option in the Windows RAS dialer. I think under 98 it was an extra config option (under add/remove programs, then Communications). Let me know if you need more info. cjg Carl J. Client Access (or whatever emulation product is used) would not be involved in the TCP/IP configuration. Then you would layer Client Access on top of that connection. You would need to have either a SLIP or PPP line description defined on the AS/400 for your communications line. I think that you're out of luck at V3R2 for that configuration, but I would verify. Once the connection is established, any TN5250 client will do (see recent discussions on Mochasoft), so it doesn't have to be Client Access.
