I think that in the S/3 line of machines, the mod 6 was the early S/32 prototype. Built in keyboard and printer, no display. The announcement materials used color depth to imply that the S/32 was a S/3 model 2. I think that all of the other S/3 line of machines would allow a connection of an IBM selectric typewriter as both a logging device and input. You just had to turn the 4 dials in the face of the CPU to indicate your input device. You could even pick 3741! ;) Neil Palmer wrote: > > You could argue the S/3 Mod 15 counted too. > > ...Neil > > "Mike Shaw" <mhshaw@worldnet.att.net> > Sent by: midrange-l-admin@midrange.com > 2002-01-31 11:58 > Please respond to midrange-l > > To: <midrange-l@midrange.com> > cc: > Subject: Re: Console wishes. > > Err.....S/38 was second generation built-in console....To my knowledge the > S/32 was the original built-in console in the IBM midrange...........It > even > came with a built-in printer! :-) > > Regards, > > Mike Shaw > > _______________________________________________ > This is the Midrange Systems Technical Discussion (MIDRANGE-L) mailing list > To post a message email: MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com > To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, > visit: http://lists.midrange.com/cgi-bin/listinfo/midrange-l > or email: MIDRANGE-L-request@midrange.com > Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives > at http://archive.midrange.com/midrange-l.
