Gerry,

It could be that your AS/400 has made it onto one of the Open Relay
Blacklists.

Go to http://www.orbz.org/sysadmin-grey.php and put the IP address of
your AS/400 (or the address it gets NAT'd to) and see what it tells
you.

You can also try sending directly to me (not thru the list) at
bob2@cstoneindy.com and see if that bounces the same way. We use
several of the RBL DNS lists. At the same time, send me a message from
your regular email client and if it is rejected, I can look in the logs
and let you know exactly what is going on.

If it is rejected, it will be with a message like: "591 your host is
blacklisted by inputs.orbz.org. Send your questions to..."

Subject: 554 SPAM-Relay detected

I'm having real problems emailing from the AS/400, because I keep
getting 554 SPAM-Relay detected back. I've tried using the SNDEMAIL
command from News/400 and the SNDM command from the News/400 Code site.
One uses the QtmmSendMail API, the other uses sockets to write to the
AS/400 SMTP server. Both of these methods fail. But strangely SNDDST
works to the same email addresses.

Has anyone else had this problem, and if so what is the solution?
