1).  Does it have a "positive click", like IBM keyboards?
2).  How do my fingers sense when I am going from PC mode to real terminal?

Al,

Have you tried an Affirmative keyboard (originally called BOSS)
for your PC?  Its highly configurable under Client Access.

IMHO, its the *best* keyboard for 5250 emulation that I've ever
used. It also holds up well to those of us who like to pound things :)
I even bought one for home use.....
