On our web site in the download section, there is some free code to do a
DIR command of an IFS folder.  It can be directed to a *OUTFILE and then
the outfile can be queried.  It maybe a little round about, but it would
work.  Also, the source is included and can be modified to suit your
needs.

Probably...   I know I wrote the command called "CHKIFSOBJ" that's on
my system :)

...but the original poster was looking for a CL solution.  CHKIFSOBJ is
written in RPG...
