After some PTF installation we had our LAN card again. (this hit me with my first V5R1 install, can't tell for V4R5) Regards from germany, Philipp Rusch Stefan.Tageson@intentia.se schrieb: > Some time ago a question was asked on how to get rid of the Operations > Console LAN-attach in order to return the LAN-card to it's normal use. > I haven't seen any answers yet but as this problem hit us today one way to > fix the problem is: > > Manual IPL to DST > Work with DST environment > Work with system devices > Console mode > set the appropriate console mode 1=twinax, 2=OpsConsole > then hit F11 Configure > enter 0.0.0.0 for ip-address and default routers and subnet mask > press enter > press F7 = Store > press F13 Deactivate > press F3 to return > > Be SURE to have the LAN-card connected to a hub/switch during this > operation or DST will freeze when pressing F13 > > Re-Ipl the system and the LAN-card should be usable for other purposes > again. > > Regards > > Stefan Tageson > Intentia Consulting Sverige AB > Propellergatan 1, SE-211 19 Malmö, Sweden > Phone: +46 (0)40 691 35 00 > Cell: +46 (0)733 913 813 > Fax: +46 (0)40 691 3900 > E-mail: stefan.tageson@intentia.se > > _______________________________________________ > This is the Midrange Systems Technical Discussion (MIDRANGE-L) mailing list > To post a message email: MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com > To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, > visit: http://lists.midrange.com/cgi-bin/listinfo/midrange-l > or email: MIDRANGE-L-request@midrange.com > Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives > at http://archive.midrange.com/midrange-l.
