Gail, RCLSTG is an AS/400-centric fix-me-up program that does many things, including finding lost space, orphaned objects and fixes the interrelationship between objects. It should have no effect on Notes. Notes (to my understanding) does a daily compress on the 400. You need to do this manually on your client PC's. Though I can't say that RCLSTG (reclaim storage) will not regain some disk space, I'd be upset to learn that it was useful on a regular basis for Notes storage. RCLSTG is an extreme measure to be used only when necessary. I think IBM made a mistake when naming this command. It seems too many people get the idea that it's actually useful on a regular basis such as weekly. In my experience, if a site finds regular RCLSTG to be useful, there is is something going very wrong in the system.
