COBOL has a little-used feature that allows line(s)-at-time control of scrolling of any lines on the screen, both up and down. A couple very useful effects are possible. (It's one of the very few COBOL items I've never figured how to do in RPG.) I've never investigated, but I'd have to guess that DSM APIs would work well for such things.
