Just another casino running on the iSeries (/400). Not really news,
everybody but the MGM/Mirage group does.

Subject: Some good Press about the iSeries

Isn't this nice to read a product review (not in an iSeries Mag BTW) that
has some of the Good points of the iSeries highlighted.

I like the Statement :

"Unlike PC-based systems, which the Dover Downs had previously employed,
the iSeries is very fast..."

ACSC's CMS(TM) system is based on IBM's leading edge iSeries 400
architecture and utilizes a proven integrated database that allows casino
operators to seamlessly manage all of their slot and casino software as one
system. Unlike PC-based systems, which the Dover Downs had previously
employed, the iSeries is very fast -- all data is provided in real-time --
and always available -- the iSeries has been consistently benchmarked with
a 99.987% availability rating.

The installation was seamless for our customers," says Edward Sutor,
Executive Vice President for Dover Downs. "I've been involved in four
different system conversions, and this has been the smoothest I've ever
experienced."
