How To Ask Questions The Smart Way http://www.tuxedo.org/~esr/faqs/smart-questions.html Netiquette Guidelines http://www.dtcc.edu/cs/rfc1855.html Configuring Mail Clients to Send Plain ASCII Text http://expita.com/nomime.html These sites all have some excellent advice BUT they are really only guidelines not hard and fast rules. I often experience difficulties obtaining enough appropriate help/resources due to the isolation of my location. Prior to the the midrange.com upgrade, I would often receive responses to questions hours before the question itself appeared. If the entire original request was not included in the response I received I was totally confused. Requests were frequently made by others to remove content but that created an issue for me and possibly others. Thankfully that is no longer an issue but is an example of why guidelines need to be flexible. I agree sometimes questions from people can be better researched or phrased (me included) but I also believe that the most stupid question is the one that isn't asked. What may appear as worthless banter to some will quite often raise relevent problems and solutions. Just my Aud 0.02 worth. Have a nice weekend, Norm
