Something else for you :-)

What I did was setup a regular ole PC as the System Console, with a TwinAx card
in it and running a 5250 emulation package (I'm using the products from
Synapse). Also loaded on this PC is PC Anywhere. I can dial into the system
from home and access the System Console. I execute a SAVALL program that we
have (that does
the complete system save and can also do RCLSTG, RCLDLO, etc.) and then I can
either stay connected or drop off and reconnect latter to see how it's going...

Saves me having to drive in (45 minutes one way) and check it to be SURE it is
up for users... and I can see what it is doing if something bombed since this
is taking over the System Console (where as the normal way we dial in requires
the system to be "up"). Sweet :-)
