For vanilla text, I do something like this:

    LPR RMTSYS(your-lpd) PRTQ(your-prtq) FILE(your-splf) TRANSFORM(*YES) +
           MFRTYPMDL(*WSCST) WSCST(QWPDEFAULT)

The QWPDEFAULT workstation customization object came with my copy of
OS/400, and is in the QSYS library, so I didn't have to create one
myself.
