You could use Domino.  You don't have to use the client.  I like the client
but with the newer versions of Domino you could use a browser and I am
thinking even Outlook.  Utilizing this, and perhaps also the purchase of
TrendMicro's ScanMail product, go a long way to getting a robust, well
virus protected system.  And Domino has built in 'Mimix' like software for
Domino applications.  Just configure another Domino server on another 400,
NT, etc.  Tell it your clustering and you're in like Flynn.  However, if
you are creating a lot of new databases, email accounts you may want to
look at the software from Akornn.
