I tell them that a G4 700 Mhz CPU can smoke a P3 1 Ghz (this was a while ago), they didn't believe me. When it reality in pure number crunching, the G4 will out perform the Pentium 3, just because of the architecture (64-bit vs. 32-bit). I would rather have a "standard" in place that can be used to rate all processors under equal terms because Mhz is NOT an acute
