Simon, He is running the AIX version of Samba, compiled on an AIX system, and running in the PASE on OS/400. He is not, at this point, trying to modify it. >From what you say, it may be _possible_ that PASE is smart enough to use convert the data returned to Samba to be the appropriate home directories, but since he's having problems getting anything to work, I was suggesting that he try a simpler scenario first.
