As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.

    He is running the AIX version of Samba, compiled on an AIX system, and
running in the PASE on OS/400. He is not, at this point, trying to modify
it.

convert the data returned to Samba to be the appropriate home directories,
but since he's having problems getting anything to work, I was suggesting
that he try a simpler scenario first.
