David, Yes, I set my directory on my PC to be shared, with full access and it does not automatically show up. My userid and password are set to the same thing. The box is at V4R4,if that matters. I'm not sure what the 'dsk' entry is, but in my experience a system will show up automaticy in the QNTC along with it's accessable shares without you having to create entries. You need to make sure you are signing on to the 400 with the same userid & password that you use for your windows networking.
