Scott and all, This information is invaluable and I can't thank you and all the others enough for the time you have taken out of your busy days to help. Please know that I did RTM but just too green to do a decent job. With what you have provided, it gives me enough of a footing that I can move forward. For now, I am getting an error on the password for QSECOFR when trying to sign on to the console (System tools). So I will do some digging to figure this one out, and press forward. In the meantime, it appears there is some simple customization that needs to be done. All of your suggestions have been filed for immediate reference. Who would have ever thought such a simple question would have generated so much discussion? Hope you all have a wonderful holiday. The reason for this is that the operating system will be backed up, and you can't get a reliable backup while certain processes are running, since they're constantly changing things in memory. The idea here is that everything non-essential to the backup is shut down. _______________________________________________ This is the Midrange Systems Technical Discussion (MIDRANGE-L) mailing list To post a message email: MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/cgi-bin/listinfo/midrange-l or email: MIDRANGE-L-request@midrange.com Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/midrange-l.
