cae toolkit ebcdic to ascii cvt method

I am using the cwbDataQueue and cwbDataQueueDataAttr classes in VB.

The cwbDataQueueDataAttr.SetKey method is used to set the key to use on the
cwbDataQueue.Read method.  The ...DataAttr.Convert property is set to
convert the data received and sent in the data queue from/to ascii/ebcdic.
But the darn .SetKey method will not convert my key from ascii to ebcdic.

Does the client access toolkit provide a standalone ascii to ebcdic convert
method ?  Is there one built into VB ?
