There still are people who think some file extensions are safe from viruses & do not need checking ... my AV has the choice of what to check & I am checking *ALL. Many of the newer virues use multiple extensions, such as TROUBLE-FILE.TXT.VBS Now the end user is going to see TROUBLE-FILE.TXT without the VBS if their Windung is setup using MicroSoft standards ... I have changed my standards so I see EVERYTHING. Your client site needs to have an inspection of the adequacy of this kind of defense, plus the usual ability to go back to backup that predated the infection, plus warn everyone they do business with about the contamination.
