Hi Walden!
  I don't believe that should ABEND because the restore did work, sort of.
I believe an ABEND is reserved for complete failures, i.e. tape drive not
ready.  It's always been that way, so I'm used to it, I guess. My home-grown
saves/restores always check the *DIAG messages to see what transpired before
the end.
