I haven't had an AnyNet setup for a few years, so recollections are foggy; nor did I need to pass through a firewall. But, if 397 (or 9216) is the proper port and the firewall doesn't have 397 open, I can't believe it'll ever work. There _has_ to be some port opened for it. Beyond that, very basic: did you set CHGNETA ALWANYNET(*YES)? And if you did, is job QAPPCTCP running? (Not certain that name is correct.)
