Janet, The Original Software Group provide a suite of tools covering the whole area of Automated Testing - with different modules to cover database extraction ( to test against a reduced subset of your data) right through to record and playback tools. The record and playback tools differ from the majority of others as they run on the AS/400 and are emulated on the PC. Thus no conflicts between running other PC applications. If you would like further information and a demo of the product please contact me off line Jamie Coles The Original Software Group UK: 01256 338 666 INT: (+44) 1256 338 666 US: (+1) 630 268 1488 www.origsoft.com ----- Original Message ----- From: "janet emil" <janetemil@hotmail.com> To: <midrange-l@midrange.com> Sent: Tuesday, December 04, 2001 10:41 AM Subject: automate testing Hi All, One of our testers wants to have a utitly to help her in testing. In order to be able to design the test case, she has to make about 5 Inquiries throught the system menu. She is thinking of a macro to automate the process...She wants it to accept from her the Enquiry values...run the appropiate options from the AS/400 application menu and then document the the enquiries screen by copying and pasting them into a word document. I don't know if this is applicable (by doing not too much work throught the as/400 or through emulation macros)or not...? if yes...then How....??..(All the users are connected via Extra Enterprise 2000 emulation to the AS/400) Any suggestion is very much appreciated thanks Janet _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp _______________________________________________ This is the Midrange Systems Technical Discussion (MIDRANGE-L) mailing list To post a message email: MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/cgi-bin/listinfo/midrange-l or email: MIDRANGE-L-request@midrange.com Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/midrange-l.
