Subject: Re: Restoring V4r4 save file on V5r1

>Is there any problems to restore V4r4 save file on V5r1 system?
>it gives 'Signature verification failed for save file...' message.

The setting of the QVFYOBJRST system value does not apply to save files
themselves, but it will apply to the signature of programs restored from
the save file. If a save file is signed that signature will be verified
when anything is restored from the save file. This is done for all values
of QVFYOBJRST. As far as I know, no programs or save files from V4R4 can
have a signature. I know that there is nothing in V4R4 or V4R5 to verify
signatures on save files or programs. So my question is, what exactly was
being done when you received the error message, and what is the message ID
of that message. Sorry if part of that has already been answered. I was not
paying attention to this discussion until QVFYOBJRST caught my eye.
