An interesting note on this: Once you create such a DFU
and suppress errors, that setting seems to be set for your
user profile.  So the next time you could simply do an
UPDDTA on any file and it will suppress errors.

This was the way on V4R7 anyway, haven't tested it on
V5R1.  Perhaps UPDDTA simply uses the Suppress Errors from
the last actual DFU you ran, not sure.

Create a DFU program over that file and on the SUPPRESS ERRORS parameter,
say
YES.  When you run the DFU program, in theory, that will allow you to delete
the
record.

I have a record in a file that contains invalid data.  I would simply like
to delete this record, so I counted on good old DFU to carry the day... but
it won't allow me to specify the record, (since it can't display it), so I
can't even hit F23!

Does anyone know how to get rid of this errant record?
