Easiest way to save the configuration is RTVCFGSRC to a source file.  You
can then re-create you configuration by turning the source file into a
program.  Good Luck!

I need to downgrade an AS/400 from V4R5 to V4R2. It's not something I want
to do but it has to be done.

I can save the data libraries and folders to tape, specifying V4R2M0 as the
target release and restore them without a problem. However, the RSTCFG and
RSTSEC commands don't have that option. What's the best way to save and
restore the configurations and user profiles? If necessary, I can change the
password to a default one and set it to expired so the user has to change it
when he first signs on.

All suggestions are welcome.
