Aside from the Software hurdles you have to overcome you may also have
hardware issues.
You did not mention the hardware you have, but you will have to make sure
it is compatible.

I need to downgrade an AS/400 from V4R5 to V4R2. It's not something I want
to do but it has to be done.

I can save the data libraries and folders to tape, specifying V4R2M0 as the
target release and restore them without a problem. However, the RSTCFG and
RSTSEC commands don't have that option. What's the best way to save and
restore the configurations and user profiles? If necessary, I can change
the
password to a default one and set it to expired so the user has to change
it
when he first signs on.

All suggestions are welcome.
