Yes, the SSL on FTP is a V5R1 enhancement.  Neat server feature but
requiresan FTP client that is SSL enabled.  My copy of CuteFTP Pro has
SSL and works with V5R1.  But it (CuteFTP Pro) does cost money.  The
Freeware/Shareware version doesn't have the security stuff, just like
the native Windoze client.

As for whether the AS/400 client is SSL compatible, I don't know and
will look into it.
