> Can the "APPLOG" file be cleared or deleted?
> I just noticed that mine is pretty large, too.

This question was posted to the MAPICS-L list - check its archives via
MIDRANGE dot com.
I just went there & did a search for APPLOG & got 3 posts.
2 are related to cross-posts from here where Dave Shaw, the Midrange_L
moderator says that it is Ok to clear APPLOG but very bad idea to delete it.
1 is a post from April 2000 on auto-scheduling MAPICS backup which talks
about all the other stuff the MAPICS backup does outside of the save
function, such as clearing APPLOG ... there is good advice here on clean up
needed if you not using the MAPICS backup & in fact there may be value in
doing a search of 'BACKUP" at the MAPICS-L archives if that is your situation.

My vague reccollection is, from ancient version of MAPICS that we used over
15 years ago, if you using the MAPICS Backup System, and something goes wrong
that means you have to Restore to earlier backup, then there is a LOG that
tells MAPICS what stuff has to be rerun to get you back to where you were
when the problem occurred AND WHAT SEQUENCE TO DO IT IN. If you not using
the MAPICS Backup System, then there is a lot of MAPICS background stuff
associated with this that should have got cleaned up in the re-write.
