Leif, With all due respect, I suspect that this is an early warning for the "TAXDATABASEUSE" command. If IBM were to be to be so stupid to do this, this would be bad for the system, as it would cause third party databases to port to the system. (And, of course, be less reliable than OS/400.) Guess I will have to write one. Does anyone know of the API > to do this? ;-) There almost is or will be soon. If you do a WRKSYSSTS command at V4R5 or higher, you'll see a mysteries entry in line two of the data: "%DB capability". Looks like a CFINT-like 'feature' or a capacity-on-demand feature where the capacity is there, and you just have to SENDMORE money followed by ADDDSKSPC. :-) _______________________________________________ This is the Midrange Systems Technical Discussion (MIDRANGE-L) mailing list To post a message email: MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/cgi-bin/listinfo/midrange-l or email: MIDRANGE-L-request@midrange.com Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/midrange-l.
