When I started in this field Anno Domine 1962 the computer had a drum of 32K. With a doubling time of 18 months, Moore's law predicts 39/1.5 = 26 doublings, and in fact 32K * 2^26 = 2049 G. Close enough, or is it time for an upgrade to be 'current' via-a-vis Moore's law :-)
