Steve, >Does the use of this product void the customers IBM software support contract? > >I emailed this question to tiger tools last week. This was their response: + > >"Fast400 does not change any IBM objects. There are other tuning products >on the market and they do not void the support contract. IBM knows about >Fast400 and has not said anything to TigerTools." I am not in the service/support area so I asked some questions myself about what IBM's position is relative to your question. The folks I talked to were not ready to give an explicit yes or no answer at this time, but they did provide this response: IBM takes each and every unique service/support agreement very seriously. It is beneficial to both parties, when our customers follow problem determination, problem analysis, and service request procedures that IBM provides. By avoiding the use of "patched" programs and applying the most current HIPER PTFs, our customers can continue to expect the highest levels of service IBM has to offer. Ed Fishel, edfishel@US.IBM.COM
