<snip> %len by itself returns the length of the field not the length of the data in it. To do that, you need this: %trim(%len(field)) </snip> %len returns the length of the data in a variable length field, if it is loaded correctly. To load correctly, use the EVAL operation code, not in the result field of some other operation code. eval resultfield = %trimr(fieldA) + %trimr(filedB)....
