QSZPAVL is the product directory object. In the past it has been
corrupted during PTF application.
You haven't restored the object, or QUSRSYS lib have you ?
If you run GO LICPGM and take #10 does everything look OK (no *BACKLEVEL
or *ERROR for any programs) ?
I believe this object is rebuilt during IPL if damaged.

One possible fix (and I take no responsibility for what this may do) is to
run
CALL QSZRECOV
(make sure no one else on the system is running any PTF or licensed
program commands).

Abstract........: What is the main purpose of the QUSRSYS/QSZPAVL *PRDAVL?

The JOBLOG of SCPF always reports the following messages:

CPC0C07 *PRDAVL object QSZPAVL created in library QUSRSYS
CPC0C07 *PRDAVLI object QSZPAVLI created in library QUSRSYS
CPC0C07 *PRDAVLI object QSZPAVLI created in library QUSRSYS

Q1. What is the main purpose of the QSZPAVL and QSZPAVLI?
Q2. Why is the QSZPAVLI created in QUSRSYS twice?
Q3. I can find the QSZPAVL in QUSRSYS, but QSZPAVLI is not found in
    QUSRSYS. Is it OK?
Q4. Is it necessary for users to save the QSZPAVL in QUSRSYS? If so,
    when should I save it?

ANSWER

Objects of type *PRDAVL contain information about available products
including products that currently are not on the system. These are
internal objects and you should not be concerned with their existence or
location.
The messages are being generated due to a defect. Please review
APAR SA24474.
It is not necessary to save these objects; however, if you choose to
do so, QUSRSYS should be saved while in a restricted state.

HELP!!! Has anyone run accross this before?

I'm currently working on a 9406 170 at version 4.4, and within the last
week
or so it has been going down about every other day. When it comes back up
I
find in the log that "an error occured processing object QSZPAVLI, type
*PRDAVLI. The return code is 1099-DAMAGED." I also find another message
that says "Previous ending abnormal, reason code 9." (9 = Some data could
not be written to auxiliary storage since the previous IPL.)

When I check the system, there is no QSZPAVLI object anywhere, and there
is
no type *PRDAVLI. However, I did find an object QSZPAVL which is a type
*PRDAVL, and it was created 2 seconds after the start of the IPL after the
failure.

There does not seem to be any pattern as to when this happens. The
machine
just stops responding, and when we check, it's down. Any ideas?

TIA.
