I was going to suggest the IFS command CHGOWN. For example CHGOWN '/NOTES01/NOTES/DATA/*' NEWOWN(QNOTES) or CHGAUT '/NOTES01/NOTES/DATA/*' USER(*PUBLIC) DTAAUT(*EXCLUDE) OBJAUT(*NONE) But then you want to do this recursively in a tree.
