Um, FTP? If you can modify the Linux FTP client to use the midrange-l
database instead of /etc/passwords for the login userid and password then
midrange-l'ers could upload things via FTP to your site. Perhaps a directory
structure of /usr/midrange-l/<midrange-l-userid> would be possible with a
web server overlaid so we could reference uploaded files as
http://midrange.com/<midrange-l-userid>/filename

I've been looking for a mechanism whereby I can provide upload space for
people to upload files they wish to share on the Midrange theme.

If anyone knows of open source software that runs on linux to provide such
a feature, let me know.
