Yes Shelly, Art has some good ideas here. For a good visualization of this
'/OPT... thing one, or both, of the following.

First of all, stick a CD into your drive.

1) Start Operations Navigator. (Make sure that you have all options
installed.) Expand File Systems. Expand Integrated File System. Expand
QOPT.

2) Use the WRKLNK '/QOPT/*' command. Use the options at the top.

Explanation of others:
QOpenSys - Case sensitive file naming
QDLS - old shared folders or WRKFLR
QSYS.LIB - All the stuff you traditionally think of: Files, libraries,
programs, job queues, etc.
QFileSvr.400 - If you have a remote 400 named XYZ and you do a MD
'/QFileSvr.400/XYZ' you can then expand the directories on that 400
remotely through this.
QOPT - your optical drive(s)
QNTC - Other PC's in your organization. If you have a PC called ABC you
can do a MD '/QNTC/ABC' and see the shares set up on that PC.
Root - everything not stored in the above.

Did you try CPYFRMSTMF?

CPYFRMSTMF FROMSTMF('/OPT/CDFILE.TXT') TOMBR
('QSYS.LIB/MYLIB.LIB/MYFILE.FILE/MYFILE.MBR') CVTDTA(*AUTO) ENDLINFMT
(*CRLF)
