It was a bit gruelling to convert the IBM C sockets examples to RPG AND learn about how sockets works at the same time. I am fortunate to have a heavy communications background, but I sure wished I had some code to tinker with. Having working code from iCTC to dissect will undoubtedly help understand Scott's tutorial. For the archives, I should mention that the RPG Redbook (see the FAQ)contains some good RPG examples. --buck
