we are not on 436 box any more - currently, we have a 170 with v4r5. When we were on 436 we had to double the memory and added a lot of DASD before our upgrade to v4r5. -----Original Message----- From: thomas@inorbit.com [mailto:thomas@inorbit.com] Sent: Wednesday, October 10, 2001 11:00 PM To: midrange-l@midrange.com Subject: RE: Will Upgrading to V4R5 impact performance??? Can you clarify your situation? Some of it seems odd. Running a "billion dollar business" on a 436 seems strange enough; but also, how many version/release upgrades have you done on your 436 and how many required hardware upgrades (as in "every time we have a new version of operating system we upgrade our hardware")? What version/release are you currently running?
