The point here is that we've had some interesting times with the Duplex
mode.  When tuning for TCP/IP performance, *FULL duplex gets a great
bang for the effort!  So YES, YES, YES,  set that SWITCH (kill all
AS/400 connections using HUBS!)to Full Duplex and set the LIND to *Full.
Let your 400 breath!

| Be careful with duplexing.  2838's enjoy dropping when duplexing is
not

| precisely the same on the switch and your card (and the 400 represents
it

| a hardware failure).  *AUTO tends to not play well.  Make sure your
switch
| and 400 are both set to *FULL.  If you're on a hub (gasp) *HALF is the
| best
| choice.
