query question

Greetings,

I need to find out if records are being posted twice to an inventory
file-and query is all that I have to work with.
Is there a way to use query to select records from a file based on the fact
that the data in several fields is identical to the data in those fields in
another record when in fact that combination of fields should be unique in
the file?
