Hmmm.... the message I'm replying to got lost. The general idea was: "This statement carries more weight since Accenture is partly owned by Microsoft, I believe," or similar. I'll stop you there. :) First, comments that come from me to this or any other list, should be read as Dennis Lovelady's view, and not that of my employer. Secondly, there has never been an ownership relation in either direction between M$ and Accenture, except that the partners of Accenture may (probably do) own M$ stock. And since Accenture went *partially* public this past June, it's also possible that some M$ people own *some* shares in Accenture. Keep in mind, this is probably equally true of HP, IBM, Oracle and lots of other competetive firms. Nor do they direct Accenture. Accenture and Macro$loth frequently team up on projects (much to my disappointment :)), but there's absolutely no reason to believe that either firm drives the others directions or opinions.
