Ok Fair enough Dave, but what do they do? Give me a quick run down. I
can see the occasional trigger setting, maybe check on mimix or similar
but I'm scratching my head here really!

I've worked at one site with 40 400's and we didn't use a DBA. I've
worked for SmithKline Beecham (now GSK) and they didn't have a DBA. But
let's say I accept your argument that large sites do need DBAs. I still
contend that there is a lot less for them to do compared to an Oracle or
SQL Server DBA.

Hey, anyway go to bed it must be 2 in the morning there!
